Carrier tapes environmental requirements

As an electronic packaging material, few people in China have conducted environmental tests on carrier tape, and it can even be said that little is known about it. In China, it is generally believed that carrier tape packaging materials are only used for packaging, and passing SGS is no problem. However, little attention has been paid to the fact that carrier tape products will change in different environments and affect the packaging materials. Therefore, it is necessary to launch an environmental monitoring plan for carrier tape packaging as soon as possible to standardize carrier tape production and be responsible for packaging products. As carrier tape is a high-temperature heat-formed product, the carrier tape itself undergoes a heat shock and forming process. Since customers package products and ship them to various parts of the world, the temperature differences in different places are not the same. Therefore, the shrinkage and flexibility of the carrier tape packaging material in different temperatures are different. Therefore, different formulas should be used for carrier tape in different environments to ensure product stability and avoid customer complaints due to packaging materials. This is also a flaw in the entire carrier tape industry.
